Ben Clifford is a graduate of Stevens Institute of Technology, where he majored in Music and Technology and minored in Pre-Law and Public Policy. While at Stevens, Ben studied guitar with Carlos Alomar of David Bowie, and musical acoustics with John Storyk, an industry leading acoustician and studio designer. Concentrating in production, Ben took classes in sound recording, audio post production, sound design, musical acoustics, electronic music, music theory, and orchestration.
When not in the studio or teaching, Ben can be found playing live. He currently plays around the greater Western New York area at many local Breweries, Restaurants, and Clubs. Ben is known for his live looping, and creating a lot of sound for just one performer. He uses no backing tracks, so each performance is unique and heartfelt. Ben specializes in guitar, piano and voice, but can also play ukulele, mandolin, harmonica, bass, saxophone, and drums. Some of his biggest influences are The Band, The Beach Boys, Bob Marley, Dave Matthews, Cat Stevens, Bob Dylan, Billy Joel, James Brown, and many more! Check out a live show!
